Cavaliers Sweep Celtics To Advance In NBA Playoffs

The Cleveland Cavaliers just completed the sweep of the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. That’s the good news for Cleveland Cavalier fans.  The bad news… during the game, Kevin Love dislocated his shoulder and is unlikely to be seen for the remainder of the playoffs.

The loss of Kevin Love will likely spell the end for Cleveland’s run to the 2015 NBA Championship.  As Love is an integral part of the offense in Cleveland, winning against playoff caliber teams in an extended series is unlikely.

As is commonly the case, Lebron James was the performer of the game dropping 27 points, with 10 rebounds, and 8 assists.  Kyrie Irving had 24 points in the win.

Here are the game scores for the sweep:

  • Game 1: Cavaliers 113 Celtics 100
  • Game 2: Cavaliers 99 Celtics 91
  • Game 3: Cavaliers 103 Celtics 95
  • Game 4: Cavaliers 101 Celtics 93

We’ll have to wait to see how the Cavs handle the Love loss in the second round, but at this point, things aren’t looking good.
